AIP Affiliate Spotlight Small Joys

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

AI Partnerships Corp. welcomes integrated behavioral health company, Small Joys, to its AI Network.

Small Joys helps students achieve, maintain, and enhance emotional wellbeing by using artificial intelligence combined with creative storytelling. Founded in 2020, they use AI to measure, analyze, and boost emotional awareness and resilience. [Small Joy]’s analytical focus is seamlessly complemented with proven psychological principles to deliver an engaging and effective experience.

They empower youth to live an emotionally aware and resilient life. The American Psychological Association’s Stress in America survey portrays a growing mental health crisis among youth. [Small Joys] believes that poor mental health for the majority of youth is due to an inability to cope with life stressors, coupled with poor emotional resilience. That’s why they help youth cope with immediate life changes while building emotional resilience to deal with future uncertainties.

“Nearly 8 in 10 adults (78%) say the coronavirus pandemic is a significant source of stress in their lives, while 3 in 5 (60%) say the number of issues America faces is overwhelming to them. Gen Z adults, on average, say their stress level during the prior month is 6.1, on a scale from 1 to 10 where 1 means “little to no stress” and 10 means “a great deal of stress.”

[Small Joys] is committed to building a responsible AI platform by putting people first. Sourav Sengupta [Small Joy]’s CEO wrote a book called: "The Next 20 Years of Mental Health”. After his writing, Sourav found several trends that were worrying parents of young children about their mental health. This experience made him a passionate advocate of youth mental health and the curation of [Small Joys].

AIP is extremely excited to be working with [Small Joys] to combat mental health amongst youth around the globe. The power of AI is being used for good to help students achieve, maintain, and enhance emotional wellbeing. With the shift of how society functions with the current state of the pandemic, youth need more resources to keep them mentally sane.
